Schindler's List

The film depicts real-life events that take place during World War II and includes businessman Oscar Schindler's efforts to save more than 1,000 Jews from Nazi persecution. All of these Jews worked at the Schindler factory, and in many cases, the photos were taken at the real-life locations where these events took place. 

Retention Pvt. Ryan

It is a film directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Matt Damon and Tom Hanks and several others, set shortly after Normandy invades World War II. During the invasion, three brothers died on the beach and the fourth was trapped behind enemy lines. Tom Hanks as Captain Miller is tasked with taking on the armed forces that must invade Nazi lines to find the fourth brother so that the whole family doesn't get killed on the battlefield. 

Lawrence from Arab

An all-time classic, directed by David Lean, this film features a catalogue of great stars including Alec Guinness, Peter O'Toole, Omar Sharif, Claude Raines, Jose Ferrer and Anthony Quayle. History shows the efforts of British officer T.E. Lawrence and his mission to help Arab tribes overthrow their Ottoman oppressors in the context of World War I. 

Braveheart

Mel Gibson starred in and directed the film, including a number of international stars, all of whom helped tell the story of legendary Scottish warrior William Wallace. When Wallace's childhood love and his newlywed, Murron, are killed by soldiers from the local British rulers, Wallace leads an escalating revolt to overthrow the British across the country.
